ROVERS Sunday Reserves have won the Centenary Cup after a 4-0 defeat of Alvechurch Darts Reserves.
Michael Friend headed the Advertiser/Messenger division two side in front in last Sunday's match. Justin Evans then scored twice, both from headers, and Nathan Hollis scored a late breakaway goal to secure victory.
But while the reserves were celebrating, their division one senior side, Rovers Sunday, have started their massive backlog of fixtures.
With cup success taking priority over league fixtures, the Victoria Ground side find themselves playing three times a week until the end of the season.
