DEAR EDITOR -- On a recent holiday in the Monte Gordo region of Portugal, my wife and I met a couple who live in the Bromsgrove area.
His name is Bill, he is keen on caravans and used to work at the Rover car plant.
We enjoyed their company very much, however, we noticed that on many days he wore left-footed sandals on both feet!
We wondered if this is a Bromsgrove trait, something peculiar to the car trade, or perhaps he belongs to some secret society, the Masons or similar. Apart from this, he was very good company.
Mind you after a few drinks, he tended to veer to the left when we walked back to the hotel.
It would be nice to hear from him again. If he lets me have his shoe size, I'll try to obtain a matching pair for him
Doreen and Bob Shuck,

Powys.
z We too would love to hear from Bill. If true, why the left-foot? Hopefully there will be a footnote to this little tale.
