Ewyas Harold 1 Woofferton 2
THIS match was effectively a battle for second and third places as Wellington have virtually clinched the Hereford Times Herefordshire Premier League title with an almost unassailable superior goal difference.
Both teams showed admirable control on the hard, bumpy surface and Woofferton took the lead when Harry Harrington headed home from close range.
However, Harold levelled before the break when the visitors failed to clear a free kick into the box and the home striker nipped in to score. A sequel to the goal was that Woofferton's James Powell was dismissed for abusive language.
Ten-man Woofferton expected Harold to come at them strongly but this did not happen and the visitors held their own for mid-fielder Jamie Marsh to fired in a late 30-yard winner.
