PARENTS have been urged to keep an eye on their children during the Easter break after a disused building was burnt down in Wolverley.
Three children aged between about seven and 13 are wanted for questioning by Kidderminster Police following the incident at a former social club at the Lea Castle Centre on Monday.
Three fire crews were called to the blaze, which destroyed the building - causing £50,000 damage - at 3.35pm.
Lea Castle Centre general manager Marc Saunders said the fire caused no disruption to patient care on the site, which is owned by North Warwickshire NHS Trust. the remains of the former social club at the Lea Castle Centre in Wolverley, thought to have been hit by young arsonists.
None of the buildings at the centre for special needs children had to be evacuated.
"What we did have to do was open up another entrance and provide one clinic in a different location," said Mr Saunders.
There is a public right of way across the site and three children were seen leaving the area when the fire was discovered.
One girl was 12 or 13, about 5ft 2ins, with brown hair tied back and a stone coloured rucksack.
A spotty boy of the same age, between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 8ins, was very thin with short blond hair and a cream fleece. There was also a seven or eight-year-old with mousey hair.
PC Danny Evans of Kidderminster Police said: "We are asking parents to be aware of what their children are doing during the holiday.
"We are very concerned for the safety of children who are not adequately supervised and are getting up to mischief, which runs a risk of causing serious injuries to themselves and others."
