CSRF: Thirty one members came along to the meeting on April 8 - a good attendance. After coffee and biscuits and greeting friends, the chairman gave apologies for absences and the meeting got under way. There were no questions raised. All members were saddened to learn of the recent death of Mrs Marjorie Blackford and a card of condolence from the group is being sent to the family.

The speaker, Mr Norman Ellis was then introduced and everyone was very interested in his illustrated talk about Saudi Arabia and the various items he had brought along for inspection. Afterwards raffle prizes were won by Anne Innes and Margaret Hawkes.

The next meeting is in the upstairs room at Evesham Library on May 13 at 10.30am. The speaker will be Mrs Jill Wilson and her subject Historic Campden. Old and new members very welcome.

HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY: The next meeting of the Vale of Evesham Horticultural Society will be on Tuesday, April 22 when there will be a talk on Bedding Plants, to be given by Mr Roy Walker.

All meetings are held at 7.30pm at Wallace House, Evesham and refreshments are served at the end of the meeting. All are welcome.
