THE Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury has announced an impressive line-up for its spring season.
Ballet Creations are making a welcome return to The Roses Theatre, Tewkesbury.
The full company will be performing the classic story of The Nutcracker, a favourite with young and old. The company is joined by more than 70 local young dancers. The newcomers will be taking their first steps towards a professional career. This follows months of rigorous training.
The famous ballet tells the story of a young girl called Clara. Her dream-world adventures take her away to the magical 'Land of Snow' and the extraordinary 'Land of Sweets'. Her nutcracker doll is transformed into a handsome prince and accompanies her on these marvellous experiences.
Perrier award winning comedian Jeremy Hardy will be performing on Wednesday, May 7. Hardy is one of the country's foremost stand-ups and has conducted sell-out tours across the UK and Ireland.
EDGE, a post-graduate performance group from the London Contemporary Dance School, bring their show to Tewkesbury on Friday, May 9. Their appearance follows a successful European tour and a special appearance at the Queen's Golden Jubilee celebrations.
The original Cockney Rebel Steve Harley is visiting Tewkesbury on Saturday, May 10. The Roses is just one of over 100 venues Harley plans to perform in this year. Fellow Rebel Jim Cregan will join the acoustic musician. The pair decided to tour again so they can simply have a laugh.
