VOLLEYBALL: Cleobury Mortimer Ladies won 3-1 at rock-bottom Kingsbury in the West Midlands League.
The villagers gave valuable court experience to promising junior Laura Edwards and raced into a four-point lead through Louise Rochelle's serving.
Cleobury played steadily in the first set to win 25-23 and flew through the second, winning 25-14.
They were inspired by Becky Brooks, Sam Harding and player-of-the-match Katherine Skelhorn.
Kingsbury took a consolation 25-18 but Cleobury regained composure to take the fourth set 25-13.
In the Hereford and Worcester League, Cleobury men lost 3-0 to Dudley. Player-of-the-match was junior Matt Bates and new boy Dan Harding also impressed.
