DARTS: Great Western have an agonising one-week wait after they came within one dart of winning the Banks's Bewdley League against defending champions Red Lion.
But Lion's 4-3 victory, which keeps their own hopes alive, means Western have to win a crucial rearranged game against White Swan.
The fixture boiled down to a nail-biting final match between T Green and R Adams (Western) and P Mills and R Wilks (Lion).
Green had the first chance with a 108 clock-out throw, only to miss double 16, leaving Lion's semi-pro player Wilks to finish on 84 to win the match.
In the other games, Hop Pole defeated third-placed Rising Sun, clinched by N Edwards.
A Brooks, J Brennan, J Wright and P Calladine led Cock and Magpie to a victory over Black Boy.
Waggon and Horses A and B beat Bowling Club A and B 7-0 and 5-2 respectively.
