A BREDONS Norton man is planning to repeat a sponsored bike ride on a penny-farthing, a feat he last completed almost 20 years ago.
Will Langdon, aged 60, will be riding the same authentic cycle he used the last time he completed the fundraiser. He will complete the 17-mile course to raise money for the Worcestershire Air Ambulance and Overbury cricket club.
Mr Langdon said: "I thought it was a good way of raising money. I have been practising on a replica model but I'm going to be riding the real thing on the day."
The course covers Bredon Hill, Elmley and Beckford. The veteran cyclist is confident he will raise £1000 for good courses.
Mr Langdon will not be the only star attraction when the event is held on Bank Holiday Monday, May 5. Champion racehorses Bindaree and Earth Summit will also be there to entertain the crowds. Their owner Nigel Twiston Davies has agreed for the animals to put in a special guest appearance.
