At the meeting on April 1, Paula Dowie, G8PZT and Richard Newton, GOEWH demonstrated methods of accessing the internet using Packet Radio instead of a telephone line. Also, Tony Hartland, G8WOX and Tony Saunders, G1OZB presented an item on the Automatic Packet/Position Reporting System using UI-VIEW software.
The next meeting, at 8pm on Tuesday, May 6 at the Chainwire Club, Zortech Avenue, Kidderminster, will feature a talk on Direction Finding and a display of ARDF equipment by Wayne Griffin, M0BRU.
Visitors will be welcome - the society is offering free membership until September.
