ALCESTER and Ragley Cricket Club's season opens on Saturday with the first team away to Broadway and the seconds playing Cookhill at Ragley Park.
The winter nets have been very well attended, the sun is shining and the pitch is as dry as it normally is on a July weekend. Several juniors are ready to break into the senior teams this season.
A SLOW track at Overbury made runs hard to come by for the visit of Ashton-under-Hill. Overbury made 184-4 and Ashton struggled to 92-7 off their 40 overs, losing by 92.
