POLICE have been pleased with the response to an illegal weapons amnesty during its second week in Wyre Forest.
Since last Wednesday more than a dozen weapons have been handed in, including shotguns, starting pistols, air rifles and pistols, knives and a crossbow, as well as numerous rounds of ammunition.
More than 200 weapons have been handed in across the West Mercia force area since the start of the amnesty just over two weeks ago. It runs until the end of the month.
