A DOG that was rescued from a traumatic life is due to appear on national television.
Bobo, a five-year-old cross-breed terrier, is due to appear on Channel 4's Pet Rescue this evening.
The courageous canine has finally found happiness after being re-homed with a dog Training and Behaviour Adviser (TBA).
He now lives happily with Evesham-based Sarah Bushell, a TBA with the National Canine Defence League (NCDL), in Wickhamford, near Evesham.
He had originally come from another charity, and appeared on Pet Rescue last year searching for a home.
However, after no new owners came forward, he was transferred to the NCDL in the hope he could find a new family.
Perfect
Luckily for Bobo, Ms Bushell fell madly in love with him and took him home.
"My role is to assess dogs as they arrive at the centre, as well as ensure that any dog that has been re-homed from the NCDL settles in and adapts to his new life as easily as possible," said Ms Bushell.
"As soon as I set eyes on Bobo, I knew we'd be best friends. It's the perfect ending to Bobo's long search for a home."
Before a dog is re-homed its qualities are assessed by a TBA and matched with a suitable home. The TBA also offers help and advice to potential new owners.
"Bobo's tale is a happy one, but there are hundreds of dogs still looking for their perfect partner," said Ms Bushell.
Anyone who thinks they can re-home a dog can visit the NCDL re-homing centre, at Wickhamford, Evesham, or call 01386 830613.
