n A Civil War re-enactment group will be at the Commandery Museum on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday.

The Fairfax Battalion will talk to the public about how soldiers lived during the Civil War and they will also be re-enacting the Battle of Evesham.

Entry to the museum will be £3.95 for adults, £2.95 for children. There is also a family ticket for £10.25 for two adults and three children.

n If bargain-hunting is more your thing you can go along to a Flea Fair at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern on Monday April 21.

n After five years of restoration, Witley Court's Perseus and Andromeda fountain will be switched on for the first time since 1937.

The 120-jet fountain will be fired up on Good Friday, April 18, with a grand firing taking place three times during the day.

Opening times for the weekend are 10am to 6pm with entry costing £4.60 for adults, £2.30 for adults and concessions of £3.50.

n Eastnor Castle, near Ledbury, begins its summer season of fun with an Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday and Monday, April 20 and 21.

Visitors will have to solve a series of cryptic clues that lead them on a trial around the castle and grounds.

The castle will be open from 11am to 4pm on both days with the last admission at 4.30pm. Entry will be £6 for adults, £3.50 for children and £5.50 for OAPs. A family ticket for 2 adults and 2 children is £15.50.

The cost also includes entry to both the castle grounds and the treasure hunt.

n Worcester City Rangers and the Duckworth Trust need the help of around 12 children to find the Easter Bunny who has hopped off with all the chocolates.

Youngsters will have to solve puzzles and find the clues dotted around the Chapter Meadows nature trail to find the chocolate treats.

The event takes place on Wednesday April 23 from 2pm at, at the Chapter Meadows, off Bromwich Road, Worcester.

n Worcester Cathedral is holding a What's behind the Egg? week to keep people of all ages entertained.

They will follow tradition by offering families with children aged between three and 11 years old the chance to find out that there is more to Easter than bunnies and chocolates.

Other fun items on the agenda include an Easter egg hunt, playing parachute games in the great space of the building and children over the age of seven get the chance to climb the 235 steps in the tower and see the magnificent view of the city.

The traditional Easter Garden will also be on show, which will allow children and adults to relax and enjoy the sunshine.

Families are invited to turn up on the day, but groups like the Brownies or Cubs should book in advance.

The activities run from Wednesday April 23rd to Friday April 25th, from 10.30am-12.30pm and 2.00-4.00pm (Fri am only).

A weekend of live music and entertainment is being offered at the Elgar Birth Place Museum.

Entitled 'An English Celebration' the event on Saturday and Sunday April 26 and 27 will feature singers, instrumentalists and narrators.

Performances will take place from 12 noon to 4pm on Saturday and 12 noon to 2.30pm on Sunday and will be free to visitors paying the usual admission charge to the museum.
