UPTON Memorial Hall will be filled with revellers for the mayor's charity dinner and dance.
Upton Youth Band and Upton Community Care will benefit from proceeds of the event on Friday, April 25.
The mayor, Coun Eric White, said charity events of this kind had become regular occurrences for mayors in other areas, and he felt Upton should not be an exception.
"I think they are well worth supporting," he said. "The youth band has always needed money and it's very difficult for them to get, and I think Community Care do an excellent job."
Helen Lane, the director of Upton Youth Band, said the news was brilliant.
"We love to receive money because we are a charity and every bit of money helps," she said.
The fun starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £27 to include dinner and wine. A live band will be performing and dancing continues until 1am. For more information call 01684 593070.
