VOTERS in Holy Trinity want to see more police on the beat around Ronkswood and Tolladine.
"It has never been the same since we lost the old police houses on Tolladine Road," said Peter Finch, aged 65, of Christchurch Road.
"The phone boxes outside my nearest shops in Rose Avenue are always being vandalised and smashed, they should just be taken out to stop the trouble."
Peter Holmes, also aged 65, of Tolladine Road, said CCTV cameras should be fitted at the shops on Rose Avenue.
"A shop had its window smashed only last week and cameras could help catch these troublemakers," he said.
Speeding
He was also concerned about motorists speeding through the estates.
"Speeding cars are a real problem in this area. We could do with speed bumps down more side streets before someone gets hurt," he said.
Pete Coombes, aged 41, of Holly Mount Road, agreed that traffic-calming measures were desperately needed in the ward.
"Cars treat this area like a race track. We could do with speed humps before a child is knocked over or hurt," he said.
Mr Coombes also wanted to see more children's play facilities in the area.
"The playground we do have, has just become vandalised," he said.
