UPTON Community Care, which provides transport for hospital and medical appointments, made 1,206 journeys last year.
The voluntary group has 77 members, including 52 drivers, 16 office helpers and 10 people who help in other ways, such as distributing leaflets, collecting prescriptions or changing library books.
Journeys from Upton-on-Severn, Ripple, Hanley and Welland were chiefly to Upton surgery and Worcestershire Royal Hospital, with a few visits to hospitals farther afield.
Upton Mayor Eric White said he had nominated the group for the Queen's Golden Jubilee award, but had been disappointed to hear that the application had not been successful.
He was told that the standard of nominations was very high and competition fierce, with 1,400 nominations last month.
