CHURCHES in the county will have special opening times for private prayer as the war in Iraq moves into its second month.
Worcester Cathedral will be open everyday from 7.30am to 6pm for prayer and the lighting of candles.
St Martin's Church in London Road, Worcester, will be open every day for prayers from 9am to 5pm. At noon, on Saturdays, there will be prayers for peace.
St John in Bedwardine is also open daily for prayer and candle lighting.
At Claines, St John the Baptist Church will be open each weekday from 3pm to 4pm.
In Droitwich, St Andrew's Church will be open on Fridays between 10.30am. St Nicholas' Church is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and St Peter's is open most weekdays.
