HEREFORD golfer David Park failed to qualify after the second round of the Algarve Portuguese Open in Vale do Lobo.
His scores of 78 and 74 left him just to two shots short of qualification.
England's Greg Owen heads the event by taking a three-stroke lead into the third round after a second round 70 full of thrills and spills.
But Lee Westwood's troubles continued. He not only failed to survive the half-way cut last night but had just 10 of the 152 finishers behind him. Only two of those were tour players.
The Worksop golfer's 16 over par half-way total of 160 was his highest on the circuit since he turned professional in 1994.
