I SHARE John Norwood's sentiments regarding his letter headlined "Never mind war, let's watch footie."
I became so appalled by what I saw as the BBC's nurturing of every negative nuance to the point of nonsense that I ceased to watch the BBC's war coverage.
I have long since come to the conclusion that the BBC no longer reports the "News."
It just advertises the opinions of its presenters. As far as I am concerned, the BBC should be wound up and sold the people, through all licence holders receiving 100 shares each, in the "New" BBC.
Thereafter those wanting BBC should sign up and pay for it, as many do with other TV channels. The era of the licence is over.
The only justification for the telly licence is that politicians still want to get on their "own" telly organisation.
