SOME Worcestershire households will be receiving a bulk delivery of black sacks thanks to Wychavon District Council.
The authority is set to launch a scheme in June, so that homes in the district receive 52 sacks twice-a-year.
In the meantime, residents will be given enough sacks to tide them over until the project launch in nine weeks' time.
"We are still giving all residents two sacks per week, it's just a bulk delivery of them twice a year," said Sharon Casswell, Wychavon client services manager.
"It's being launched to meet customers' needs and to improve the service to homes, however deliveries of the sacks to rural areas may differ."
"The black sacks are for domestic waste - the purple and clear sacks which are part of the recycling project will still be delivered weekly to those homes taking part."
If residents find they have too many sacks once the scheme has started, the spare sacks can be handed into council shops in Evesham, Pershore and Droitwich or left out for collection crews.
