STOURPORT Swifts boss Dave Titterton threatened to ring the changes after watching his team stumble to an embarrassing 1-0 defeat at rock-bottom Racing Club Warwick.
The Warwickshire side are guaranteed to finish in last place in the Dr Martens Western Division with four games to play.
Titterton fumed: "It was embarrassing. That was the worst performance since I've been here.
"There was no passion, no desire. We didn't play the simple balls. You can't play football on a pitch like this, there's divots all over it.
"In these sorts of games it doesn't matter how much ability you've got unless you work and earn the right to play, I was embarrassed today.
"We never had the desire to put ourselves in the areas we needed to be to get things done."
Titterton finally sparked some life into the Stourport side after bringing himself off the bench in the 66th minute of a dismal encounter.
Within seconds, he was hitting simple balls down the channels to show his players what they had manifestly failed to do from the kick-off.
"I can't play like I used to but I have the passion and the desire," added a furious Swifts manager.
Warwick's Roy Dunkley wasted the only chance of a mind-numbing first half played on a pitch which prompted the referee to wear trainers.
Stourport's Craig Harris escaped unpunished after felling Peter Hall with a flailing elbow.
A hard-working but limited home team gained their reward when Dunkley shot home from the edge of the box in the 53rd minute to gain only their second league win of the season.
Visiting keeper Rob Clarke recovered from a shaky start to produce a breathtaking point-blank save from Romi Cammock in the 72nd minute.
But, at the other end, shots were alarmingly rare with Titterton and Andy Wright having half-chances late on.
