DEPLETED Malvern Town dented Kington Town's title chances with a 1-1 draw in the West Midlands League Premier Division at the Langland Stadium.
After falling behind to a Ben Chambers goal on 15 minutes, Malvern responded well and when Chris Ashby handled a 20th minute goalbound Lee Goodman header on the line, the resultant red card and Des Cox's conversion from the spot put Malvern in the ascendancy.
After the break, Kington stepped up a gear but Malvern survived a manic goalmouth scramble and their confidence grew.
With Cox in outstanding form, well supported by youngsters Lee Goodman and Lee Hooper, Town finished the stronger side as they remain on course for a top five finish.
