PACEMAN Andy Caddick could make a dramatic return for Somerset in tomorrow's Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy quarter-final clash against Worcestershire tomorrow.
The England star had a fitness check yesterday on a side strain which has kept him out of action for the last month.
Pace bowler Richard Johnson and batsman Jamie Cox could also come off the casualty list in time to play.
Johnson has been battling to overcome a hamstring injury for the past three weeks while Cox is on the mend after suffering a broken thumb.
Regarding Caddick and Johnson, vice-captain Cox said: "Obviously we want to give both as much time as possible to prove their fitness. Johnson is ahead of Caddick in terms of fitness."
