Spinner Matthew Rawnsley was Worcestershire's bowling hero on the opening day of their Second Eleven Championship match against Durham at Hartlepool.
He claimed 4-90 off 31 overs to help dismiss the home side for 307 in 91 overs. Their top scorer was Gary Scott who stroked 82.
By the close last night Worcestershire's reply stood at 69-1 off 17 overs.
