BROMSGROVE Rovers, deposed by Stourbridge at the top of the Midland Alliance, could still be promoted if they finish second.
The Glassboys wrestled the advantage back from Rovers with a 2-0 win in front of a 1,000-plus crowd on Monday but ground guidelines have deemed their Amblecote headquarters unfit for the Dr Martens Western Division.
This means the second placed side can be recommended for promotion and with the Victoria Ground up to standard Rovers have a good chances of going straight back up.
Rovers continue their title challenge at Pelsall Villa tomorrow (3pm) with doubts over Les Palmer and Steve Taylor, both suffering from knee problems.
Joint manager Gary Hackett is looking to his team to win their last six matches but does not expect an easy ride at struggling Pelsall.
"We lost 2-0 to Stourbridge and they now have an advantage and we need to go on the same sort of run that we did the last time we were beaten," he said.
"But there are no easy games in this league as Pelsall proved when they were only narrowly beaten by Stourbridge 1-0.
"But we need to concentrate on our own game and get back on track."
