BROMSGROVE Rovers can go top of the Midland Alliance if they beat Ludlow Town away tonight (7.45) and other results go their way.
Leaders Stourbridge stumbled at the weekend with a 0-0 draw at Barwell and face another tough assignment at Quorn this evening.
Defeat could pave the way for Rovers to overtake them at the summit on goal difference but joint manager Gary Hackett is not getting carried away and knows Ludlow will provide a stiff test at their shared ground at Blakenall.
"I know quite a few of the Ludlow players and they have got quite a bit of experience," he said.
"Their pitch is also not the greatest but we are confident and as long as we don't go over the top we've got a good chance.
"At the moment it is a case of taking one game at a time and just trying to keep the pressure on.
"Although it's great to talk about going top tonight we just want to make sure we are in contact with two or three games left to play and then anything can happen."
Morgan Brookes is suspended but Sam Bowen and Matt Coppin return from seven-day bans and Paul Lloyd is back from injury.
