TOM Moody has resisted the temptation to rest key players ahead of Worcestershire's third round Cheltenham and Gloucester Trophy clash at Cornwall tomorrow.

New Road's director of cricket has named a practically unchanged squad to the one which sealed a place in the Benson and Hedges Cup semi-final last week.

With Worcestershire due to play Gloucestershire in a crunch County Championship clash on Friday, Moody could have rested players ahead of the match. The Australian, however, is keen to keep a winning habit at the club.

"We want to continue the form we've been showing in recent weeks," he said. "We have the championship game coming up but we see this Cornwall tie as a very dangerous one. We are taking it very seriously as we have all the other one-day games we have played this season.

"If we have a situation where we have three or four back to back games then we might look at resting players but they haven't played now since last week."

And Moody believes Worcestershire will have to be on their toes if they are to avoid an embarrassing defeat at St Austell.

"They have some half reasonable players and also experienced ones within their ranks," Moody added. "We will approach the game in the same positive manner we have all season so far. We've got some very important games coming up, championship and one-dayers so it is important that we keep the winning habit."

With Stephen Peters nursing a broken thumb for at least another four weeks, Moody has a number of options for Anurag Singh's opening partner.

Vikram Solanki looks likely to continue his role at the top of the order although if the situation dictates, Andy Bichel may be called on to repeat his Bristol heroics. Bichel steered Worcestershire home against Gloucestershire last week with an unbeaten 94, an innings which included nine fours. Phil Weston is included in the squad but Moody looks more likely to go with Solanki at number two.

"Vikram has done well for us this season, we're very happy with him as opener," said Moody. "He's not there as a pinch-hitter, he's there to bat and hopefully for 50 overs."

Spinner Matthew Rawnsley was in the original 13 at Bristol but has not made the 12 this time around.

Squad: Singh, Solanki, Hick, Smith, Leatherdale, Batty, Bichel, Rhodes, Kabir Ali, Lampitt, Sheriyar, Weston.
