BROMSGROVE Rovers boss George Rooney is calling for a big improvement from his side in tonight's FA Cup first qualifying round replay at Oldbury United (7.45).
Rovers drew the first meeting 1-1 on Saturday but Rooney admitted: "We were unbelievably poor.
"We just could not do a thing right and then scored in injury-time, and then straight from the kick-off they equalised, which to be fair was no more than they deserved.
"But these things happen from time to time and the FA Cup always throws a few like that up.
"The way the game was played should give us a jolt.
"But we can only do as well as the opposition allow you. We have got to show a big all-round improvement to come through this tie."
Concussion
Midfielder James Wills will miss tonight's game after being forced to go off with concussion on Saturday, while defender Ian Cooksey is doubtful with an Achilles tendon problem. Rooney is likely to add several youngsters from the reserves to his squad.
Tonight's winners will entertain Stourport Swifts in the next round on September 30.
The replay means that tonight's scheduled second leg of the Worcester Royal Infirmary Senior Cup final against Stourport has been postponed. No new date has yet been fixed.
