GEORGE Rooney is confident his Bromsgrove Rovers side will be ready for their opening Dr Martens Western Division encounter with Rugby United (3pm).
This is despite a lack of adequate preparation, with the Rovers boss having to make several last-minute signings to bolster his squad.
Rooney said: "I think they will be all right. There is enough ability there -- it is a matter of organisation and getting a team pattern and shape that will suit the players.
"I think the squad has a good balance about it although we haven't got enough forward players.
"I am sure they will perform well but it is the old problem -- I am not sure whether or not we are going to be tough enough."
