Redditch United 0 Gloucester City 0.
IT wasn't pretty at times but United's well-organised draw against an in-form Gloucester was further proof of Rod Brown's influence on the squad.
After a turbulent week at the Valley, Redditch got their heads down and got on with the job in hand.
Paul Danks almost surprised visiting keeper Mat Bath in the seventh minute when his turn and shot bobbled past the far post and Richard Field fired over as United dominated early on.
But City got into their stride as the half wore on and Steve Jenkins was twice thwarted by timely blocks from Field and Paul West.
City almost caught United napping at a 35th minute free kick but Craig Harris almost put the hosts in front after a promising move a minute before the break.
Chances were few and far between after the break with Karl Bayliss shooting wide for Gloucester and Andy Hoskins forcing a one-handed save from Neil Olden.
But it was Harris who could have had the final say with the ball-winner firing wide in the 75th minute and denied by the pace of the Tigers' back line in the last minute.
