WORCESTERSHIRE have signed South African Test all-rounder Andrew Hall as well as another overseas star whose identify is being kept under wraps until the New Year.
The double capture was announced today by the County's Director of Cricket Tom Moody.
Up-and-coming youngsters Dave Wigley and Stephen Moore have also been taken on at New Road.
Moody said: "I am delighted to have secured two international players who will add real quality to our side and also two young players with real potential for the future.
"Hall's all-round ability will be a huge asset in all forms of cricket next season and our second overseas player will add genuine pace, hostility and quality to our attack.
"In Wigley and Moore we have picked up two highly talented young cricketers who could well feature in our first team line-up at some stage next season."
Johannesburg-born Hall, aged 27, is a current member of South Africa's Test and one-day sides, having made his Test debut earlier this year against Australia when he stroked 70.
The right-handed batsman and fast-medium bowler, who represents Eastern Province and has also turned out for Durham Cricket Board and Suffolk, has played four Tests and 24 one-day internationals and was named as South Africa's all-rounder of the year last season.
In six Test innings he has made 144 runs at an average of 28.80 and has seven wickets costing 27.28 each.
In 21 one-day international innings he has scored 432 runs (22.73) and collected seven wickets (40.85).
Worcestershire are unable to name their other overseas signing until the New Year because of a confidentiality clause in the deal, but he is a genuinely fast bowler with Test and one-day international experience.
Wigley and Moore have signed contracts with the County that accommodate their university studies.
Wigley, who played first-class cricket for Yorkshire last season, is a fast bowler studying at Loughborough University while Moore, an aggressive batsman, impressed for Worcestershire's second XI last summer. He is at Exeter University.
The pair will join the New Road squad when academic commitments permit during the early part of next season and full-time once the summer term is over.
