KADEER Ali will make his first appearance of the season when Worcestershire Royals rap up their Norwich Union League Division One campaign by entertaining Leicestershire Foxes at New Road tomorrow (noon).
He replaces Graeme Hick who broke his left thumb in the home Frizzell County Championship Division Two match against Derbyshire.
Kadeer is called up on the back of a highly successful campaign for Englands Under 19's in Test and limited-over matches against their Indian counterparts last month. He notched 324 runs in four test innings including a century.
Kadeer also hit a ton in three one-day innings, which yielded 212 runs.
Steve Rhodes will take over the captaincy from Hick if he overcomes a thigh injury, which has sidelined him this week. the wicketkeeper will have a work-out today and see if there is any reaction to the problem tomorrow before the county finalise their side.
New Road Director of Cricket Tom Moody, whose side are guaranteed finishing in runners up spot, said: " We want to end the season in style. We have had an excellent year and it would be a shame not to finish with a victory."
