GLAMORGAN'S batsmen continued to dent Worcestershire's promotion hopes on the second day of their Frizzell County Championship Division Two clash at Cardiff.
Third-placed Worcestershire must win if they are to stay on course for a place in the top flight next season, with just two matches remaining after this encounter and the leading five sides still in with a shout of promotion.
But competent batting throughout the order put Glamorgan in the box seat as they closed on 290-4 last night. Adrian Dale, undefeated overnight on 50, and John Hughes (12 no) continued to dominate the County attack today and reached 333-4 in the 100th over.
