WORCESTERSHIRE have batted themselves into a powerful position in their Second Eleven Championship match against Lancashire at New Road.
By the close last night Lancashire were 75-3 in their second innings, still a massive 208 runs behind.
They had started the match by making 232 after winning the toss with former New Road campaigner Ryan Driver making a rapid 90.
The County resumed their reply yesterday on 215-4 after Stephen Peters had been removed for 125. Their tally was boosted to 515-9 declared thanks to Nathan Round (81no), Steve Moore (69) and James Pipe (69).
