A FORMER model has turned her attention to a different kind of bunny after setting up the county's first boarding facility for rabbits.

Annette Edwards, aged 52, raised more than a few eyebrows when she appeared in famous American Playboy magazine in a nude photo shoot with her daughter Jody in 1998.

But after only a few weeks running the boarding service, the mother-of-10 already has a waiting list for places for her bunny business in Stoulton near Pershore.

"I've always loved rabbits," said Miss Edwards who already has 150 furry friends at Bunny Land.

"There are places where people can put their cats and dogs when they go on holiday, but I couldn't believe there wasn't anywhere to board rabbits."

So Miss Edwards sold up her home in Bromsgrove and moved out to Stoulton to breed rabbits opening Bunny Land in January.

She started the boarding service last month.

"It just got bigger and bigger," said the former Bunny Girl. "People are now booking their holidays around when we've got space."

During her modelling career Miss Edwards was the face of Nivea's Mother's Day campaign in 1997, and appeared regularly showing off her assets in the Daily Star.

"At one point I was in it almost every week," said Miss Edwards.

Out of this came the opportunity to be flown out to New York to complete a photo-shoot with her daughter for Playboy in July 1998.

"I always said I would never do anything smutty, but this was very tasteful," she said.

"We were nude but it was an outline of a figure and not anything tasteless.

"I think the men quite liked it, but I don't think the women did."

Miss Edwards joined the likes of Joan Collins, who appeared in Playboy at the age of 48 in 1983.
