ENTHUSIASTIC former members of Droitwich Spa High School's Madrigal Choir are looking to recapture the magic of their singing days with a special 22-year reunion.

Toby Thorp and Steve Carley, together with leader Kevin Dowson, want to bring together members past and present of the well-known choir on Saturday, July 19.

Originally planned as a small get together of singers from the pair's school days, the event has now spiralled to include anyone who has performed with the group during its 22-year history.

Although many details have yet to be finalised, it is hoped the day will consist of a rehearsal and a short evening performance, followed by a meal and drinks.

There are also plans to invite people to re-form any small singing groups, duets or solo acts they used to perform at school.

The organisers have already got the backing of nearly 30 singers, dating back to the early 1990s, but hope to increase that to at least 50, dating all the way back to 1981, and they are urging anyone connected with the group to get in contact.

Whether you were in the choir, are related to someone in the choir or just knew someone who sang with them, the organising team would like to hear from you today.

Toby said: "It is vital people get in contact with us as soon as possible so that we can put together the best day possible for everyone.

"I'm sure many people have lots of memories of their days in the choir and would welcome the opportunity to join together to celebrate 22 years of the choir."
