TWO thirds of workers sneak a crafty siesta at work according to a new survey.

Sixty two percent of the 1900 people surveyed by high street giant Boots admitted grabbing a few minutes sleep during the working day.

According to the survey people's favourite dozing destinations included drifting off at their desks, in the loo and in the office car park.

Results showed that 41 per cent of people only managed to grab seven hours sleep a night.

"People's sleep needs to vary, but if this group are only getting around seven hours during the night then it's not surprising they are having to have a nap or siesta during the day," said Prof Idzikowski.

And Worcester workers might be sleeping on the job because they are not getting enough shut-eye at night, according to a Boots spokesman.

But sanctioned siestas are unlikely to catch on with employers in Worcester.

"We can't see company bosses in the area introducing siesta sessions during the day, despite the beautiful weather," said a spokesperson for the Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce.

So it is not surprising that desk dozers are most likely to have an anxiety dream, according the survey.

It revealed top ten dreams are about falling, being chased, teeth falling out, work, having an affair, being rich, betraying or deceiving someone, partner having an affair, being pregnant or being naked in a public place.
