POLICE are appealing for information after an 87-year-old woman discovered a man in her Redditch home.
The incident happened last Tuesday between 1-1.15pm in Easemore Road after the woman answered a knock at her door.
The man, who had a speech impediment, claimed work needed doing on her guttering but the woman did not let him in and told him to go.
He was white, about 5ft 9ins tall, of slim build, aged in his 20s. He had short dark hair, discoloured, uneven teeth and wearing a lumberjack-type shirt and dark trousers.
The woman went back into her home and became aware of a second man who had managed to make his way into her house.
She confronted him and then ushered him out.
He was also white, about 5ft 9ins tall, of slim build and wearing a short sleeved open shirt and dark trousers. The two men then got into a light- coloured car and drove away.
Anyone with information is asked to call Pc Brian Davies on 08457 444 888.
