Studley 1 Stratford Town 2
A DREADFUL mistake by Danny Lewis sentenced Studley to only a second home defeat since early September and capped a miserable Easter.
The young goalkeeper was dispossessed by Michael Stephenson 13 minutes from time and that after having picked the ball out of the net after a mere ten seconds of the Easter Monday derby.
The Bees were caught napping as Scott Machin fired in the earliest of openers but, after the visitors had wasted several chances, Mark Beddowes levelled 14 minutes from the break after Wayne Starkey had spilled Mark Neath's free-kick.
It was a brighter Studley after the interval but top scorer Craig Pountney shot wide when well placed and Peter Sutton was crowded out after the hosts had again worked a decent opening.
However, Lewis' error gifted Stratford a second but the Bees hit back again and substitute James Cross had a late header cleared off the line - a fate that also befell Matt Coppin as Studley ended their home campaign on a losing note.
