A £100,000 roundabout has been installed on a busy Redditch road to try to cut the number of accidents.
Worcestershire County Council, Redditch Council and Brooklyn Garage joined forces to draw up a plan aimed at reducing the number of collisions on Battens Drive.
There have been 18 accidents involving casualties since 1999 and many more collisions have gone unreported between the B4497's junction with the Warwick Highway and Colts Lane.
The roundabout, which was completed last week, has been put at the entrance of Brooklyn and the carriageway has been widened to allow traffic to keep moving.
Redditch Council engineers designed the scheme, given substantial financial backing from Brooklyn.
