SHAKESPEARE'S tale of 'high principles with questionable actions' opens at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre this week.
With Vienna out of control, Measure for Measure sees the Duke entrusting the city to the seemingly virtuous Angelo, while, in disguise, he observes the workings of his government.
Award-winning actress Emma Fielding takes on the role of Isabella.
She appeared in ITV's My Uncle Silas and the award-winning Private Lives in the West End.
Daniel Evans, who plays Angelo, has appeared in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Coriolanus and Henry V and his TV credits include Daniel Deronda.
Paul Higgins makes his RSC debut as the Duke and recently played the title role in Macbeth for the English Touring Theatre.
The play runs until November.
Tickets, from £10-40, are available from 0870 609 110 or www.rsc.org.uk
