SINGER-songwriter Joan Armatrading returns to her Birmingham roots when she stops off at Symphony Hall as part of her UK tour on Monday.
Famous for classics Love and Affection, Drop the Pilot and Me Myself I, Joan is promoting her new album Lovers Speak.
Twice nominated as Best Female Vocalist at the Brit awards, Joan was nominated one of the 100 most influential women in rock in 1999 and has written a tribute song The Messenger to Nelson Mandela, which she performed to him in London in 2000.
Tickets for the show, which begins at 7.30pm, cost £18 and £20 on 0121 780 3333.
