COOKHILL skipper Paul Williams says the wining and losing draw system in the Worcester County League persuaded the club to switch to the Cotswold Hills League.
The Nevill Arms side had an unremarkable season in the bottom division of the Worcestershire League last season after unsuccessfully applying to make the change because the Cotswold Hills League had no vacancies.
This season Cotswold Hills officials opened the door to allow Cookhill to join at the bottom level - Division Six - and Williams is looking forward to the challenge.
The Worcestershire League is connected to the Birmingham Senior League unlike the Cotswold Hills League which is a self-contained competition peaking in the Premier Division.
Cookhill's season starts at Ashorne on Saturday, May 3.
