A Stoke Prior schoolteacher wished her students 'bon appetit' when they settled down for a traditional French breakfast.
Lise Albert, the headteacher at Redgrove School, decided to give the pupils a delicious feast of croissants, pain-au-chocolat and orange juice to celebrate the school's outstanding French department report.
The school for children with behavioural or emotional problems, was put in special measures in September 2001 but managed to turn things round in three terms.
After the last report the teaching of French was categorised as a 'strength' of the school.
A delighted Mrs Albert said: "We are so proud of everyone involved.
"To get out of special measures is one thing but to be complimented on the strength of our teaching is even better," she added.
