CHILDREN at Lickey Hills Primary School enjoyed a special day of ecology-based activities, organised by teacher Jayne Edwards.
The day kicked off with an assembly by Water Aid, the school's main charity, which the children have supported by raising money at an evening disco and recycling clothes.
A theatre group entertained the older children, while the infants enjoyed a puppet show.
Severn Trent Water showed the pupils water experiments in the science lab. Children made scarecrows and planted a variety of things in the school garden, and they took part in several recycling activities.
Eleven-year-old Ellie Southerton, chairman of the school's ecology committee, said: "It was a fun day and we learned a lot."
