BROMSGROVE Swimming Club had to settle for third place in the final round of the Worcester Winter League.
Among the star performances on Sunday, April 13 were swimmers in the backstroke events.
Amy Wright, Loren and Lisa Harrison and Stuart Corbett led the field from start to finish in their 100-metre events.
Elsewhere, Claire Ashford struck pole position in the U15s girls 100m freestyle followed by a stunning fight from Joe Hobbis who was pushed into second by a finger tip in the boys' event. Tom Mansell was runner-up in the U13s boys 100m freestyle.
Other individual displays included Laura Ashford, struggling with an arm injury, getting second in the open girls' 100m butterfly in a time of 1min 15.88secs and Louisa Ball winning the U15s girls 100m butterfly.
