LUDLOW second team welcomed the return of heavyweight props Dorian Crowe and Iain Braggins who used their bulk and experience to good effect to secure this well -deserved league win.
Honours were even in a closely-contested first period with the teams exchanging converted tries before the break. Andrew Jones and Darren Ellis were prominent in the loose for Ludlow, and backed by astute use of the boot by Steve Burgoyne, Ludlow held territorial sway for long periods.
The pressure paid off and a well supported break in mid-field by Matt Horse and Keith Hodnett released Andrew Brick who crossed in the corner for the winning try.
