PEOPLE can drop in for a cuppa at a new caf being launched on Friday by users of a service for people with learning disabilities.
The Coffee Mill will be run by staff and users of the Millfields day service and be based at the old Knowledge Cafe in Park House, Evesham Street, Southcrest.
The project, involving Worcestershire County Council's social services, education service, NEW College and Mencap will be opened on Friday with head of social services director Jennie Bashforth and town MP Jacqui Smith in attendance.
The premises are being leased from charity Step Out, Drop In.
The scheme is a move towards proposals set out in a Government White Paper on modernising day services for people with learning difficulties.
The caf will be open Monday to Friday from 9.30am-3.30pm.
