THERE was a union of two churches on Sunday when Trinity United Reformed Methodist Church and Alcester Street Methodist Church became one entity.
The newly formed church will be called Emmanuel United Reformed and Methodist Church.
Worship will be held on Sundays at 10.30am in the Ecumenical Centre and 6pm at Emmanuel Church in Ipsley Street.
It is envisaged at some point in the near future the Ipsley Street site will be developed.
The Ecumenical Centre continues to thrive and provide a base for many town charities and voluntary groups.
The members of Trinity Church staff a daily coffee bar, serve lunch every Friday and run various clubs and groups which offer valuable points of contact between the church and the community.
